There are no more annoying virus and trojans slowing down your system anymore!!!

You can choose easily what processes you want to run in background and can terminate them easily.Makes your system play on fingers.

You can create themes.Change the very look of desktop.Embed calenders,daily comics,weather report on background.That too without slowing down your system much.

If you can have your way in Linux, maybe you can compile the kernel itself and totally customise according to your hardware needs.This is great for newer systems or new peripherals.
